I had been hungry for God for a long time.. in fact, almost desparate for a deeper touch from Him in my own life. I got a first taste of renewal at an Intercessor's Conference that Cindy Jacobs led in March of 1994. At that conference, I was slain in the spirit for the first time and got a hit of a deeper sense of God's presense and power in my life. I became so hungry for more of Him that my heart's cry was, "Lord, send revival! Start with me!!!"
Well, about three weeks later, the Lord began to answer that prayer. A friend told me of some unusual meetings at a church in San Francisco, where God seemed to be showing up. The meetings had started on Sunday, April 17, 1994. I heard about them two days later, and decided to go check them out. This was the start of my renewal experience.
The following articles choronicle approximately the first ten monthes of my renewal experiences, and also (I hope) show a little bit of how God began to grow and mature me under the renewal anointing.
